The "Coaches"

Jerry Salzano
has enjoyed both playing and teaching baseball his entire life. Born and raised
in the Trenton-Hamilton area, he attended Steinert High School where he was a
standout Varsity player.
He accomplished many feats in his high school career including All-CVC,
All-Country and All-Star
accolades. Upon his graduation in 1992, he was drafted to play professional
baseball. Salzano also
was offered over 50 full scholarships to some of the most prestigious
colleges and universities in the
nation. However, he decided that he was ready to turn pro.
Since then, Salzano has played over 11 years of professional baseball. He
has been a member of
the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves,
Cincinnati Reds and the Boston
Red Sox.
Jerry also played for the Trenton Thunder, the only Trenton born player to
ever make the team. During
his playing days for the Thunder, Salzano won the 2002 Fan Favorite Award.
Today, Salzano runs the Jerry Salzano Baseball Academy. He shows younger
ballplayers how to be
the best they can be. His enthusiastic personality and baseball knowledge
has helped many local
players drastically improve.

Born and raised in the Trenton-Hamilton area Larry Kleinz
loves playing and teaching baseball. He attended Steinert High School where
he was a standout Varsity player. He has taught younger ballplayers at
various facilities through out the nation and is a former assistant baseball
coach from Hamilton High West .
Larry accomplished many feats in his high school career
including All Area and All-Country awards and received a USA Today national
ranking. After his graduation in 1992, he attended Villanova University
graduating in 1996. During his time at Villanova, he was starting Varsity
Short Stop for all 4 years. In addition, he earned Third Team All-American,
First Team All Northeast and Big East Player of the Year runner up in Honors
.
Larry has played over 5 years of professional baseball. He
was drafted by the Florida Marlins during the 1996 draft pick. He played
five full seasons as a full time starter (3B/SS) and earned a promotion each
year to reach AA level.
Larry and Jerry were team mates while at Steinert High
School and he has now teamed-up with Jerry to impart his big league
experience with the younger ballplayers to bring out the best of their
abilities.
